RUGBY FOOTBALL
WELLINGTON UNION The Wellington Rugby Union's Management Committee met last evening, Mr. J. Prendeyille presiding. Provided tho Poneke Club approves, it was .decided that a curtain-raiser to the big match at Athletic Park on 22nd September be played between the Oriental and Poneke junior teams. Permission was given to tho Berhampore Club to .hold a goal-kicking competition for the Lindsay Cup on- Saturday next. THE NELSON MATCH. Owing to injuries H. Tilyard (Poneke) is not available for the match against the Kelson representatives at Athletic Park on Saturday afternoon, and Chambers (Oriental) has been selected to take his place.
