Bcferring to the Ehineland occupation in a bitter speech at Mainz, Herr yon Guarard, Minister of Transport, described the French statements that good relations existed between tho inhabitants and tho French as falsehoods. DISCUSSION BY POWERS (Received 12th September 11.40 a.m.) RUGBY, 11th. September. According to Press reports, the question of tho evacuation of the Rhineland was discussed this afternoon at an. informal meeting between Lord Cushendun (Britain), M. Briand (France), M. Hymans (Belgium), Signor Scialoja (Italy), and Hcrr Muelloi' (Germany). This meeting, it is pointed out, is the nearest approach to a formal discussion of Germany's demand for the freoing of the Bhine zone, which has yet been held since the evacuation of. Cologne and other bridgeheads following Germany's acceptance of the Dawes Plan. It follows tho conversations on the subject which Herr Mueller, the German, Chancellor, has had with Lord Cnshendiin and M.
