OBITUARY
COLONEL SIR EDWARD WARD Australian Press Association—United Service. (Received 12th September, 1 p.m.) LONDON, 11th September. The death is announced of Colonel Sir Edward Ward, late- president of tho Union Jack Club and Hostel, famous in the war, at tho age of 75. He served in tho (Sudan campaign, the Ashiinti Expedition, and tho South African War, and was Permanent Undcr-Sccretary for War from 1901 to 1014.'
