i (By Telegraph.—Press Association) DTJNEDIN, -6th Sept. At a novelty fair held to-day to assist the fund for the erection of the new Caversham Presbyterian Church, the pastor, Bey. R. Ferguson Fish, read a letter from Mr. T. K. Sidey, M.P., stating that in his opinion the time had arrived for him to fulfil his promise to make a donation of £.1000, for which amount ho enclosed a cheque. The Mayor (Mr. W. B. Taverner) congratulated the church on receiving such a handsome contribution, which would go a long way towards building a new hall.
