MANOEUVRES IN RUSSIA
Australian I'resa Association. (Received Bth September, 2.30 p.m.) , RIGA, 7th September. The Leningrad District. Council of Trade Unions has sanctioned military manoeuvres and a shar.i battle by large bodies of Leningrad working men on the ovening of 15th September. The trade unions aro organising two infantry divisions composed of their members, with chemical warfare units. Tanks and sappers will co-operate under the direction of Tukachevski, commander of tho Leningrad military district, which is roughly within a five-mile radius of Peterhof, which is tho former summer residence of the Tsars from which fifteen thousand excursionists will view tho operations.
