PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
To bring to tho millions who havo no truo conception of the stupendous workings of Nature which occur in the vast area known as Alaska, was the purpose of the trip undertaken bs. Captain J. Robertson and Arthur H. Young, and their journey is splendidly reproduced in the picture " 'Neath Arctic Skies," now being shown at the Paramount Theatre. Those who have been fortunate enough to see this picture are not likely to forget it for years to come. It Is indeed a masterpiece. Features of the picture aro the awe-inspiring spectacle of the breaking up of the Yukon River after being ico-bound, the journey through the Vane's of . the Ten Thousand Smokes," tho heavens Illumined by the rays of tho midnight sun, and the birth, of giant icebergs. Close human interest Is given to the picture by thrilling scenes of pursuit of the moose and bear by the daring adventurers. Another marvellous picture is that of the salmon in millions seeking suitable places in the rivers to spawn. Bears, after their long winter sleep, rare hungry, and the struggling fish fall on easy prey to these marauders. It is a truly wonderful picture. The second featuro of the programmo Is a dollglitful comedy, "The Rejuvenation of Aunt Mary,' 'a screen version of a Broadway success. May Robson and Phyllis Haver take the principal parts in this amusing play; and Important roles are taken by Harrison Ford, Franklin Pangbprn, Robert Edeson, Arthur Hoyt, and Betty Brown. The Gazette Includes pictures, of Walter Hagen winning the world golf championship, launching of a submarine, and new fashions in evening frocks. The orchestra contributes "La Burlesque" as the overture, and a "Spanish Dance." There was a matinee this afternoon. The box plan is at The Bristol and the Utility Stationery Shop (next to the theatre). "THE KING OF KINGS." "The King of Kings" will be presented next Friday .at the Paramount Theatre, and theere will be matinees dally at 2.30. The task of making "The King of Kings" looked colossal. It was an undertaking none but de MUle would attempt. Of the obstacles theer weer many, but fighting down all prejudices, countering every move by those opposed to the undertaking, ho has produced a motion picture that will never be equalled throughout the ages of man, Jean Macpherson, who wrote "The Ten Commandments," was also responsible for the story of "The King of Kings." It is not merely a film. It is something that every man, whatever his belief, whatever his thought, can understand and appreciate. The beautiful musical score specially arranged for tho "King of Kings" will bo rendored by the Orchestra Paramount under the direction of Mr., Robert Caulton. The box plan is now open at the Bristol Piano Company and the Utility Sta.tionery Shop (next to the theatre).
