Scientists, after a"perusal of the work, will hardly, be likely to find their faith in evolution shattered; but those who cannot reconcile the theory of evolution with their religious bel fs may find comfort in it. The author relics largely upon niiitlici/.iitics to disprove tho theory of evolution, cad.avouring to show that the present populatipn of tlic earth proves that tho origin of man cannot have been much in excess of 5000 years ago. That human remains of apparently' greater ago have been found he puts down to the fact that scientists are in error in their->deductions. The book is published by Dr. Williams himself.
