PRINCIPAL OCCUPATIONS. | Out of the-population of the County of London (4,484,523 persons), 3,545,912 , wero 'found"at, the last Census (1921) to be over 12 years of age, states tho "Daily- News." Of these, 2,160,212 were fully engaged in some sort of occupation or other, and an analysis which has just been made of these occupations shows that the people in London engaged in personal service amount to nearly as many as the entire population of Bristol, whilo those engaged in transport and communications exceed the population of Portsmouth. Those concerned with dress and textiles are more than 80,000 in excess of the whole number of people, of all ages, living in Middlesbrough.
