= .-;:■ ,;EMBIRE:DELEGATES' ; -■ .A meeting of the New Zealand branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association, which comprises all parties and both Chambers of the Legislature, was held this morning. The main business was the question as. to whether the invitations of the . Canadian branch of the association for j the, New-. Zealand branch. to be represented at the Empire gathering in Canada next month should be accepted,. All parties expressed a desire to be represented, and it- is probable that four representatives will make the trip —one on behalf of the Legislative Council and one on behalf of each of the political parties in tho. House of Eepresentatives. ■■.■■;.:■. ; ■• '• ;•■■ ■■ The selection of Representatives is being made at meetings of tho parties. The, Labour: Party this morning selected Mr. \V. J.;-Jordan (Manukau) as its delegate, subject to his obtaining'the consent of his constituents, for which purpose iae will pay an early visit' to his electorate. Selections on behalf of the Eeform and National Parties and, the Legislative Council have yet to be made. ■'■■'...' The delegation will leave for Canada by the AQrangi on. 31st July, and: is due'to arrive at Quebec on 25th August. Between that date and the end of September the delegates from all parts of the Empire will make an extensive tour of the sister Dominion,: including visits to Montreal, Ottawa,/ Toronto, Niagara Falls, Minaki, Winnipeg, . Saskatoon, Edmonton, Jasper, Vancouver, Victoria; Lake Louise, Banff, High Biver, Calgary, Kegina, Kenora, Sudbury,•;• Frederictoi^ Saint John, Halifax, and Charlottetqwm. - ; •■ ...'.,. . ; , ■ . .
