KHANDALLAH AFFAIRS
The oxecutivo committee of the Khandallah Progressive Association held its monthly meeting last Wednesday, tho president, Mr.D. G. Clark, C.8.E., presiding over a full attendance. A deputation was appointed to wait on tho City Council and place some matters roquirhig urgent attention before them. The providing of a footpath and widening of the Khandallah road from Colway street, Ngaio, to Clutha avenue, Khandallah; as a necessitous work, is to bo urged owing to the ever-increas-ing motor traffic along this route and the great danger of loss of life and limb by accident to numbers of young children and pedestrians who use the road. The widening of Old Porirua road, at tho junction of Clutha avenuo and tho Main road, Khandallah, is also to bo urgently pressed for, as the position at present is a death trap, both for motorists and pedestrians.
