WIDOW MISPLACES £117 (By Telegraph.) , „ (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. A handbag containing £117 in notes waa lost in Onehunga yesterday afternoon by the widow of a resident of tho district. The money comprised two £50 notes, two £5 notes, and seven £1 notes, and was compensation paid in respect of the death two years ago of her husband,'a motorman on-the tramways. The lady kept the money in the house for a long period, intending to purchase a property. Yesterday afternoon she placed the money in the bag, intending to bank it. Meeting friends on the way, she changed her mind and went to a matinee at the Strand Theatre, Onehunga. She did not miss tho bag until sho returned home. A search at the theatie and on the iouto homo failed to locate the bag.
