VERNACULAR IN THE COUNCIL.
Plain expressions were used by the Hon. G. J. Garland in the Legislative Council yesterday afternoon, when he was dealing with the Sanioan question. "Mr. Nosworthy's visit to Samoa, and the subsequent setting up of the Royal Commission," said the speaker at ona stage, "put the 'kibosh' on tho movement from the Beach." A little late Mr. Garland again made use of the vernacular, declaring that "Mr. Nelson aud his Mau got the dirty kick-out, and not a bit too soon."
