lhe following forecast was Issued at 9 a.m. to-day for the ensuing 24 hours:— Winds—Northerly winds, . freshening, and after 24 to 36 hours backing to southeilies. Barometer—Falling. Seas—Generally moderate; rising on the west coast south of Cape Egraont. Tides—Moderate on tho east coast; good elsewhere. Weather—Fine at first, but rapidly becoming unsettled in northern districts, arid later more generally, with rain developing. Mild temperatures, hut cold change probable within about 36 hours.
