Considerable feoling was manifested by the older members of Lloyds whou it was diicovered that the Lutiiio Bell, when it was first hung in the new rostrum at Lloyd's, was invisible, being hidden by the dome that surmounts the caller's pedestal. This was soon productive of results, and the bell now hangs within tho sight of all, although denuded of tho ironwork and chains with which it was previously associated. The few survivors of tho old school find it difficult to acclimatise themselves to the new quarters, hut are very anxious to conserve as much as possible of the old regime. The Lutine Bell agitation was therefore symptomatic.
