TINAKORI ROAD
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Residents of Northland nnd Karori have waited for years for Tinakori road to be put in order by the City Council, but the condition of this road this winter is worse than ever. It is noticeable that just above the Gardens meu are employed filling in gullies to widen the road to an extent which it is questionable will ever be used, while in the vicinity the actual road is a positive disgrace, to the city. With the closing of Glasgow street, additional traffic is diverted to Tinakori road, which has made what was a bad road much worse; surely Tinakori road widening.and paving should have been completed before beginning Glasgow street. Motorists are heavily taxed for road maintenance, and I consider it reasonable that at least main roads should bo kept in order.—l am, etc., ENGLISH CAR.
