LODGE MEETINGS
The fortnightly meeting of Loyal Rose of the Valley Lodge, Manchester Unity, 1.0.0. F.,. was held last week, N.G. Sis-' ter Wagner presiding over a good attendance. One candidate was initiated. Lodge honours were accorded a visitor from Loyal I?otorua Lodge. The fortnightly meeting of Loyal Britannia Lodge, Manchester Unity, 1.0.0. F., was held recently. Two new candidates were initiated. At the close of the -business the lodge adjourned for harmony. The customary meeting.of Loyal Sister Wallis Lodge, Manchester Unity, 1.0.0. F., was presided over recently. by Sister !2. M'Farlane, N.G. There was a fair attendance. Reports were read by the sick visitors. District officers and all visitors were extended a hearty welcome. The District Grand Master, Bro.' Cook, was conducted to the I.P.N.G.'s chair, supported by Bro. Godber and Bro. Madely, for the purpose of installing the officers for the ensuing term. Honours were given to the newly-installed officers. A meeting of Loyal Victoria Diamond Lodge, Manchester Unity, 1.0.0. F., was held last evening, the N.G. Bro. E. E.. Wliyman presiding over a good attenduice. One candidate was initiated and me was proposed for nomination. The usual meeting of Loyal Mangatainoka Lodge, Manchester Unity, 1.0.0. F., was held on Monday last, Bro. Hubbard, N.G., presiding over a good attendance. A visit was received from - Bro. E. P. Cook, D.G.M., and Bro. E. Bell, D.D.G.M. Addresses on matters of district policy, including hospital scheme, widows' and • orphans' funds, increased benefits fund, and fraternal gatherings, were given by the visiting officers. The eleced officers for the ensuing term were installed by the District Grand Master. A hearty vote of thanks to the visitors was carried. - The district officers were in attendance at Loyal Martinborough Lodge, Manchester Unity, 1.0.0. F., at the last meeting,, and were welcomed with lodge honours. I The hospital scheme was expounded. by P.G. Bro. Guise. A very enjoyable meeting was brought to a close when the N.G. invited the visitors to a supper party at the Cosy Tea Eooms, as the guests of the Loyal Martinborough Lodge. Petone Pioneer. Branch, No. 3, . Grand United Order of Oddfellows, held its usual, meeting last week, Bro. F. Newly.iv N.G-., presiding, and Bro. P. Patten, P.N.G., supervising. Bro. K. Gray,. V.G., was elected N.G., for the ensuing term. Two new members were admitted. Star of Lower Hutt, G.U.0.0.F., held its usual meeting last week, Bro. Hey, N.G., presiding, and Bro. Swanson, P.N.G., supervising. Bro. Connelly was nominated as delegate to the dinner committee, and Bro. F. Hey was nominated for a seat on the C.O.M. : Three new members were admitted.
