TRAGIC DISCOVERY
WOMAN FOUND DEAD .■. (By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. A tragic discovery was made by tho owner of a house in Bollard road, Point Chevalier, yesterday* afternoon, when ho called to collect tho rent. On meeting with no. response in his attempts to summon attention, ho entered and found tho body of Mrs. Violet Florence Wiles, aged 25, who had evidently succumbed to gas poisoning. There . was evidence of. attempts to seal the rooni, against tho. escape of tho gas and the tap of tho gas ring had been left turned on. Mrs. Wiles was a married woman, with two children, who wero not living with their mother at tho time of her death. ■. - . . .... . " An inquest was opened and adjourned.
