In response to repented requests/, arrangements aro being made by Dawn Asslietou to Rive two mere recitals at the Town Hall Con-' cert Chamber on Thursday, and Saturday, tlie nth and Tth Inly, in conjunction with Laszlo Schwartz, the Hungarian violinist. Since their last recital in 'Wellington these artists have appeared in the South Island, and have received ovatlonal „ receptions from large and enthusiastic audiences everywhere. Commenting on the performance Riven recently In Christchurcl), the "Sun" reported as follows:—' "These brilliant artists offer a type of entertainment that is unique in its threefold, appeal to tlie eye, the car, and the intellect." ,lhe Dunedin critic of tho "Eveuinsf Star" considers that-as a folk song singer Dawn'Assheton is ( Inimitable, and her costumes were said to lieV the most gorgeous seen in Dunedin since the visit of Anna Pavlova. Indeed, the Press aiid the public alike unite In a chorus of pralso over the consummate artistiry of the young singer who has made a big hit- everywherein .the Dominion. Praise has also been showered on tlie gifted Hungarian violinist-composer, laszlo Schwartz. Most of the items to bo presented' trill be new to music-lovers.
