BROKEN BYLAWS
Offenders against the bylaws wore dealt with in the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon by Messrs. E. W. Burbidgo and X; W. Armit, J.P.'s. On each of. three charges of allowing stock ■to wander, James Feeley was convicted and discharged. For failing to obtain a hire license, Horace Blanford was fined ss. . Failure to comply with a closing order cost Ernest Peterson 10s. A fine of £1 was imposed on G. Chiids for failing to have proper brakes on his motor vehicle. ■ For, negligently riding bicycles, Morris Gill and John Hobbs were fined 10s each. Albert B. Kernes for failing to produce a driver's licpnse when requested, was fined 10s. ' ' ' Alexander . Murdoch was fined £1 10s for cutting a corner. For a similar offence W. T. Taylor was fined 10s. On-a charge.of dangerously driving a motor-cycle, Harold Simpson was fined £].-. •. ■• ■•;■.■■■> ■■ • .•■■■.. For parking a vehicle less than 20ft : from a corner Alfred J. Stevens and Reuben Mattram Were each fined 10s. The following were fined for speeding:— Ronald Grieve, Archibald Ibbotson, £2 each; Erie Boj'd, James. D. Penney, Herbert. M. Warcup,. Frank E. AVcsterby, £1 10s each; Lewis Asher, Henry Westlake, £1 each; Chriss. T., Edwards, 10s; Thomas E. Roberts. ss. On a second charge Henry Westlako was ordered to pay costs 10s. . ' Jack Walker was fined us for negligently riding a motor-cycle. ' For leaving motor-cars -unattended, William F. Handyside, S. George Nathan, G. 1?. Stcphensou, and Eric S. Ulyatt were oacli fined 10s. Kdward J. Hurris was fined £1 and .T. IJ. M. M'lntyre 10s for not having their vehicles 'properly lighted. Leaving a motor-lorry more than 12iu from a kerb resulted in Percival H. Blyth being fined £1. '-
