HUTT'S EASY WIN.
The Hutt team had an easy win over Marist on the Hutt Recreation Ground. Almost from the first whistle Hutt had things pretty well their own way, and the game ended 8-0. Marist's senior B eleven is an important part of their club organisation, as a training ground for more serious football, but, having regard to the generally high standard of the Marist players yin- the various other grades, the showing made by the B's is disappointing. On Saturday their regular goalkeeper was absent, and a fourth (B) grade boy, M'Kenna, took on the job. Considering the handicap of faster and heavier company than he has been used to, he made a very good fist of it indeed. As Hutt had a general advantage, one would have expected them to have played more evenly, as between the wings, than .they did. Newland and Castenell did good work on the left wing early in the game, but ! then took things fairly easily, and Batehelor, on the rigli,tj carried l.pn. He did not net a goal himself, but "was largely: responsible for several of the scores. Had Hutt s shooting been loss wild, their tally would have mounted high. Scorers wore Logic (I), Chapman (2), Newland (2), Castenell (1), Keillor (I),'and Lowrie (1)
