BOODHOUND AS A PET
» A bloodhound was suggested by Mr. S. Cousins at thj annual meeting of tho Tararua Tramping Club last evening as a useful adjunct -to parties searching for men missing in the bush country. A * voice: "Who will look after it?" (Laughter.) Mr. Cousins: "They tell mo a bloodhound makes a very fine pet. (Renewed laughter.) It's a fact." He suggested that the incoming committee should go into the matter. "I think there might bo something in tho bloodhound idea," remarked tho chairman (Mr. F. W. Vosseler). "It is well worth looking into anyhow. I havo no personal experience of them, although, of course, I have read about theni in 'Uncle Tom's Cabin.'." (Laughter.)
