TO-DAY'S MATCH
SUEPEISE SELECTIONS PREPARING FOR TEST * Special to Press Association. (Received 23rd June, 8 a.m.) MAEITZBUHG, 22nd June. Tho team to represent New Zealand against Natal, at Maritzburg has been selected as follows: — Full-back: '' Lindsay. Three-quarters: Robilliard, Carleton, Grenside. Fivo-cighths: Strang, Johnson. Half-back: s Kilby. Whig-forward: Scrimshaw. ' Forwards: Swain, Hadley, M. Brownlie, Alley, M'Williams, Stewart, Hazlett. ■ The general opinion is that the team for to-morrcw, with two exceptions, will be the Test team to meet the Springboks next Saturday, when Dalley is almost certain to play as half-back, and Finlaysou is certain to go on the side of the scrum in place of M'AVilliams. -It is surprising that tho Selection Committee continues to play Carleton. On performances to date he is unquestionably a great defensive player, but so far lie has not been reliable on attack. Several times he has dropped passes when the wings have been in a scoring position. Dalley has had a touch of influenza, but will bo all right for next Saturday. ' It is also surprising that Nicholls has been dropped for to-morrow's game after his excellent performance at Potchef stroom, .where he gave easily the best display of five-eighths' play on the tour to date. Lucas is also considered unlucky in not being given a place in the team for to-morrow after his brilliance-on Wednesday.' Finlayson is being rested to-morrow, having played more matches than anybody in the team. Lindsay has shown himself to be more reliable than Lilbume. The former kicks with better length and judgment than the latter.
