The hopes 'of the Norwegians momentarily are centred on Commander Maddajena, who has sot out for North East Island to search for Amundsen. The mission seaplane contained a collapsible rubber boat capable of holding four people and provisions for a fortnight. The Aictic authorities arc confident' of •' rescue.
