STRAND THEATRE.

"The Garden of Eden," starring Corinnc Griffith, supported by Charles Kay, Louise Dresser, and Lowell Sherman, commenced its second week's screening at tho,Strand Theatre to-day. In "The Garden of Eden" Toni- (Miss Griffith) has gono to Monte Carlo following the collapse of her job In Budapest, and she is posing as the daughter of tho indigent Baroness Rosa. Toni becomes engaged to tho rich young Kichard Snanyi, but tho course of true love docs not run smoothly, partly because of Richard's own inability to declaro himself and partly through tho snobbishness of his aunts and uncles. Things finally reach such a pass that just before the wedding, which is a social event, Toni is forced by her. pride and other circumstances to reveal her real identity. Richard's inability to adjust himself 'to tho changed conditions- and tho supercilious smugness of the assembled relatives aro too much for tho independent child of tho stago, and she upbraids them all, at tho same timo stripping oil tho laces, the jewels, tho gloves, and even tho wedding gown which Rlehard' has contributed to the occasion. Good supports will also be shown and appropriate music .supplied by the orchestra.
