THE WELLINGTON ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY.
An orchestral concert will be given on Saturday, 30th June, at the Town Hall Concert Chamber. This will be the first public appearance of the orchestra this season, and as usual Mr. Charles W. Kerry will conduct. Miss Nora Greeno will be the soloist on this occasion, one of her numbers being "The Forge," by Brahms. -Miss Grace Kennedy is leading the orchestra for this concert and, as careful preparation has been in evidence for this performance and a good programme promised, an enjoyable evening can be looked forward to. Orchestral numbers include Beethoven's Fourth Symphony and Wagner's fine overture from "Tannhauser." Tho orchestra is specially strengthened for these works, and it Is to be hoped the musical public of Wellington will assist the society to continue their efforts.
