O the early mornings are cruel to our small pink-chilblained feet, but tho speed of tho ice-cold wind round every corner makes Shelter a •very cosy thing . . . we hold our fingers to the leaping flames and love the splash of the rain and the beat of the tree against the window. AH summer long we raced and sang under a broad sky and only came home to sleep. Now it's Indoors turn .- • and a friendliness everywhere that only Winter can give. •• V ■■':' .■'.-. Yet did you know that a miracleThappcned die other day? . . .' just another of the wonders that cram the world? We heard birds sing in, England ... the lovely mournful song of the nightingale lifting through a summer night. That is what wireless has brought us now .. .brought tb our island tucked away in this farthest corner of the sea . . . birdsbng froni ah English wood half the Vprld away. You little people who love to "listen-in" .. ; can you dream any dream more wonderful?
