"ITS OWN ADVOCATE" A DOMESTIC NECESSITY A report upon eloctric.. cooking i.sup:plied- to the conforenco of "the Electric Supply Authority Engineers' Association pointed out that-in collecting data ami records it was in many cases impossible to separate electric cooking i'roir. other domestic supply. The position in the country, too, differed, from that in the city. Larger numbers of consumers and longer, periods of observations were needed! before,really valu,ablo data could be accumulated. 1 The report concludes: "Electric cooking is its o.wn best advocate. Its merits from the point of view of cleanliness, .control, and economy, but" above all ■health, may confidently be.allowed to determine its future. ' -It cannot, however, be too strongly stressed that, apart from these merits,'the success" of electric cooking can b.o assured or marred by the supply authority.
