SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
A good evening's enjoyment was provided for the seamen in port at the Sailors' Friend Society by Tanner's j Orchestra, which made very liberal provision for the guests. Repeated encoies were! demanded. The band was under the le'ulcrship of Mr. W. 'C. Tanner. The performers wore Mesdames Jnriss, de Berry, Hisses Banascon, Bdthwell, Messrs.) Tanner, M'Whirter, Johnstone, Eaten, Draper, Clancy, Joyce, Edmunds, ft'wift, Master Quail. "Give the Cause" Tins the title -of Mr. James. Moore's temperance address. Pledges followed. Prizes were given by the Victoria League. Readingjmatter was supplied to outgoing crews. ;
