THE HUDSON CONCRETE CO., LTD., Palmerston North, Auckland, and Wellington.

Among the industrial displays at the National Dairy Show, which will command more than.passing interest from farmers, contractors, home builders, and householders generally is that of the Hudson Concrete Company. This exhibit gives a practical illustration of the utility of the pumice constructed copper stands, wash tubs, cattle drinking troughs,- pig troughs, and many other lines of necessity iii the home and on the farm. The copper boiler is a line for which "Hudson's" have gained a great deal of well-merited praise. This invention .entirely, supersedes the old-tim. method of bricked-in coppers, and the model displayed alongside of the old-fashoned type in bricks and morta stands out in bold relief. It is wellknown that pumice is a produce that resists heat, consequently a stand manufactured the Hudson way will save you pounds in fuel, and boil your clothes in half the time it • takes under .the old method. The price, complete, delivered to your home is only about £5. The beautiful.smooth finish of the washtubs shown by the company seems to take the eye of- the ladies, and one very important feature of these is that they ' are absolutely waterproof and never leak, and, of course,. cannot shrink or expand ,with hot or cold weather, as is the case with wooden tubs. Another invention which must come into-regular use when seen is. the pumice cylinder for high pressure and hot water services. As already pointed out pumice is an non-conductor of heat, and when the usual copper cylinder is oncascd with pumice the water retains its heat for a great length of time. Concrete gato posts, complete fireplaces for kitchens and sitting-rooms, and _ host of other goods which aro tho product of this enterprising' firm all come in' for a deal of admiration. Mr. Sheerin, the Palmerston North representative, and staff are always willing to explain the merest detail.
