Forwarding Agents, Wood and Coal Merchants, Palmerston North. Messrs. Child Bros.'(business is one of Palmerston North's chief commercial institutions. Since last reference was made to this firm in "The Post's" special issue they have extended their trade in several directions of importance to tho public. Owen's wood and coal yards in Victoria street,, and Archer's popular yards at. 26, Campbell street, have been i.aken over by this progressive firm. It will, therefore, be seen that they control a big share,of this class of trade. While the firm have no thought of monopoly,-their increasing business necessitated these additional yards, and the public are receiving better service at tho lowest possible prices. Child Bros, havo always been noted for full weight, and good service, and they will continue to live up to their reputation in' this respect. Tho forwarding agency trade is also expanding under tho firm's guidance, while the supply -of metal of all grades to contractors and others also receives special attention'-
