Cecil B. do JHUe's special production, "Tho King of Kings," is the- big attraction now offering at tho De Luxo Theatre.,. Tho story, which was written by Jcannio Macphcrson, who also wrote "The Ten" Commandments," is. a free translation of tho life of Christ, from tho timo when, as a young man, lie working at tho' carpenter's bench at Nazareth, unlll ITo was crucified on Calvary, to rise finally from the grave in proof of his divinity. It is ,-k very human and all-wiso Christ which is tho central figure of this dignified, reverential tragedy of the Mlm of Sorrows. Christ is seen in village street, iv house, and harvest field, healing tho halt . and. lame, and gently telling sinners to go their way, and sin v more. The character of Christ is splendidly portrayed . the figure always being graceful, dignified, appealing, and even commanding. A speciallyselected score of music is supplied. "Tho King of Kings" is shown twice daily, at 2.30 and at > Laura La Plante will be seen .at tho Do luxe Theatre for one week, commencing next ..Friday, at 8 o'clock, in a splendid comedy entitled -Tinders Keepers." It was written by Mary Roberts .Itlnehart, "Finders .keepers" is a laugh from beginning to end. The action is laid in a. training camp. Laura La Plante reaches the heights of comedy when she impersonatca a private, and has to take her place in the ranks and drill. The supporting programme will consist of ,i Universal news and a cartoon, and the. Orchestra Do Luxo and Mr'. Aarons at the Wurlitzer will charm "all with a musical programme of-exceptional merit.- The box plans aro at Tho Bristol and Aitken's.
