PALMERSTON N., This Day. > .Heavy rain, fell' early this morning making the outlook doubtful; for the second day _ of the , National Dairy Show, but later there was a marked improvement., To-day is a-half,-holiday, in-, the town and district, and if tho weather remains fine' there should be a record attendance. The main interest this ■ afternoon centres in tho Moasear Cup match between the Palmerston High School and Te Aute College. The ground is on the heavy side, and the general impression js that To-Aute will retain the trophy.. .' '- A number of breeders ' associations are holding' their annual imeetirig today. / ■ . i. ; ■ ....-; -.'.. :■■ -,i The Poultry Sliow opened thi morning with 1267 entries and tho judging is proceeding. <The fat stock are also being judged. *, . The National Dairy [Association fs conference is being continued to-day. Most of the morning was occupied by Mr. W.
