EFFECT OF SUMMER TIME
ON POWER BOARD REVENUE The effect of daylight saving on the revenue of electric power boards was the subject of a short review presented to the conference of the Electric Supply Authority Engineers' Association. A summary of the replies, received to a .questionnaire inquiry as to the' effects of the 'Act revealed, a variety of opinions. It is apparent that it is on a system whero the lighting .load is greater than the industrial load that tho most noticeable effect takes place. Briefly, the effect is that" the lighting peak in most cases occurs later, and revenue is in some cases reduced. One delegate during the brief discussion said that just because summer timo was a possible factor in revenue reduction it was .absurd to jump to conclusions; further data-were neeelLsary before any real opinion could be formulated.
