CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES Lively interest is being shown in the meeting of Marist and Petone at the Basin Reserve to-morrow afternon in the opening game of the second round of tho First A Division championship. Tho iirst mutch of the season between these teams, played at Petoue, resulted in a d"«\v. As both teams are playing attractive football, their meeting to-morrow should provide one of the most interesting displays seen on the Basin Reserve this season. On No. 2 ground, Institute are to play Diamond, ■who are leading for the championship. The results of these matcheß will have,an important bearing on the championship. An added attraction will bo the Petone Pipe Band, which will play selections during the afternoon. Two good curtain-raisers will be played at 1.30 p.m. Petone will meet Wadcstown in the sth division championship, and Swifts will play Miramar Hangers in the 6th division.
