Results:— < Trial Handicap, of 150 soys; ong mile and ;i half.—B Golden Author scr (F. Holmes), 1; 7 Lough Neagh, scr, 2; 11 Imperial Thorpe, scr, 3. Scratched: Underscrub, Danny Boy. Won by half a length. Time, 3min 34 l-ssee. Longbeach Handicap, of 175 soys; one mile and a half. —5 Peter Lin (T. Wallis), scr, 1; 13 Eva scr,- 2; 2 Carelo, scr, 3. All started. Won by three lengths. Time, ■ 3'min 48 l-ssec. Ashburton County. Handicap, of 400 soys; two miles. —7 Jackie Audubon (owner), 12yds bhd, 1; 9 Double Event, 12yds bhd, 2; 4 Jean M'Elwyn, 36yds bhd, 3. All started. Won by a length. Time, 4min 40 l-ssec. New Zealand Sapling Stakes, of 600 soys; one and a half miles.—3 Sonoma Child (F. G. Holmes), 1; 1 Grand Light, 2; 2 Wrackler, 3. Scratched: Nigger Dillon. Won by three lengths, six lengths between second and third. Time, 3min 38 l-ssee.
