On the night of their arrival at Suva, Smith and Ulm awoke at midnight anil decided to see if the airplane was al! right on Albert Park, which is about 200 yards from the Grand Hotel. On approaching the airplane they were held up by Fijian police guards, who refused to allow them near the airplane. They returned to their beds convinced that no harm could come to the airplane witli such efficient guards.
