«. INQUIRY OPENED (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, 4th J.iinc. v The Tuberculosis Committee, consisting of Dr. Fitchett (Duncdin), the chairman, Dr. Feinvick (AVellington), and Dr. T. W. Johnson (Auckland), commenced its investigations to-day in private. The Director-General of Health (Dr. T. H. •A. Valintine) and Deputy Director (Dr.M. H. Watt) are in Dunedin for the purpose of supplying information, to- the committee, but do not participate in its deliberations. The "Wakari Sanatorium and Dunedin Hospital Avere A'isited to-day, and eA'idence Avas heard - from Dr. Lyth (medical director of tuberculosis institutions for Otago), and Dr. Thomson (medical superintendent of the hospital). The Palmerston and Waipiata Sanatoria will be visited during the week.
