HOTEL THEFT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. James Ford, aged 22, of Kaikoura, was admitted to two years' probation in the Magistrate's Court this morning for the " theft of £27 10s, the property of Mrs. " Thomas. The accused pleaded guilty. The Chief. Detective said "that the accused was the sot1 of the licensee of one of the Kaikoura hotels. Mrs. Thomas was a boarder at the hotel, arid the accused entered her room and stole her bag there. *
