LODGE MEETINGS

The fortnightly meeting of Rose of Wellington Kebekah Lodge, N0..30, 1.Q.0.F., N.Z., was held last week, Sister V.Schou, N.G., presiding over a good attendance: One candidate was nominated for membership. Five sisters "were reported on the sick list. Out of respect to the memory of the late Bro. Lloyd, the lodge stood in silence. At the close of the meeting an enjoyable social evening was held. . Toomer, Phillips, Da vies, Ecrr, and Sargeant (Maraenui Lodge). Accounts were passed for payment, and two members w6re reported sick. One candidate was nominated for membership. Heretaunga Lodge, No.: 115, 1.0.0.F.. N.K., held its fortnightly meeting last week, BVo. Pincock, N.G., presiding over ii good attendance; visitors .including Bro. X Phillips, N.G., and members of Mnracnui Lodge, and Bro. C. P. Gandy, N.G., and members of Bellevuo Lpdge on official visits, It was decided to alter the meeting night to alternate Tuesdays, commencing from 12th June." Robinson, N.G., presiding over a fair attendance, including Bro. Rooney (Ngatito'a Lodge) and Bro. .Robinson (Wairoa Lodge). Motions of condolence with the relatives of the late, Bro. W. Lloyd, P.G., and with. Bro. A. G. Christie, P\G., iv the death of his father wore passed, mombers standing in silence. Sis members \y'ere reported on the sick, list, and relative sick pay passed. After the meeting an enjoyable social was held, Bros. E..D. Wallis,P.G., and A. E. Ward supplying the music. The monthly meeting of Port Nicholson Encampment, No. 6, 1.Q.0.F., N./., was held last week, Bro. C. F. Rudkin, C.P., presiding over a good attendance. One momber was granted a, transfer to United Feilding Encampment. Ten members, were admitted to the Patriarchal Degree. „ After the meeting the lodge entertained its lady friends, an enjoyable evening being spent. Items were contributed by Sisters Lowe and Crawford and Bro. Farrell. Music for the dancing was supplied by Bro. E. P. Wallas, P.G. (piano) and Bro. Farrell (banjo)* Bro. F. J. To celebrate the third anniversary of the lodge' a supper was provided, when a number o£ toasts were honoured. The fortnightly meeting of O-Kiwi-Iti Rebekah Lodge, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was held last week, Sister Hancox, P.G., presiding.' Among visitors present was Sister Parry, o£ Esther Rebekah Lodge.
