' 3.—Via the tunnel to Ilataitai—tramway access only. 4.—Via Constable street, diverging into Wellington road and Crawford road, affording access for all purposes of traffic, including tramway. (b) Proposed' Routes: E.l.—Road access from Courtenay place, via Majoribanks street and Hawker street, and thence via- a new road below Palliser aoad to Grafton road near the Presbyterian Church at Roseneath, and thence to Hataitai. Tunnel Proposals. , E.2.—Low level tunnel from Courtenay place to Evans Bay road, Kilbirnie. E.3.—Viil Elizabeth street, below Austin street, through to the north end of Town Belt opposite property owned by the City Council. E.4.—From head of Elizabeth street through to various proposed points in the vicinity of Boyd's Store, Ilataitai. E.s.—Via Elizabeth street, new diagonal, and Rixon Grove to eastern portal of existing tunnel. E.C.—Via Elizabeth street, Queen street, nnd Rixon Grove to eastern portal of existing tunnel. E. 7 Kent terrace via Brougham avenue to council property at north end of Moxham avenue. E.7a.—From Kent terrace via Brougham avenue to Tapiri street, Ruahine street, and Hamilton road. E.B.—Via Ellice street to Ruahinc street and thence to Hamilton*road. E. 9 Patterson street to Ruahine street and thence to Hamilton road, E.lo.—From Dufferin street, ■ through College Grounds to Smith street and Ruahine street, and thence to Hamilton road. E.ll.—From junction of John street and Adelaide road to Fever Hospital, Mt. Victoria, and back to junction of.Crawford road with Keringa street. (No tunnel required.) ; E. 12. —From junction of John street and Adelaide road to Infectious Diseases Hospital, Mt. Victoria, and thence to Goa street and Hamilton road. E.l3.—From junction of John street and Adelaide road via Mcm street to its junction with Hamilton road. . E.l4.—Graded road over Mt. Victoria llidge following generally the line of existing road from end of Pirie street.
