AUCKLAND PRICES FOR HIDES.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, 2Qth Slay. Compared with the last Auckland sale, values for hides, in sympathy with overseas markets, showed a further weakening at this afternoon's sale. Cow hides were down %d to Id, ox hides %d to %d. Yearling, Id to VM. Calf skins were steady at late rates. Sheep skins were firm. 'Heavy ox hides made to 12d. Medium and light, lOd to lid. A large percentage of the cow hides were passed in at ~^ 10d to 10% d; a few exceptionally' good lines made to IVM. Yearlings made to lid. Best calf skins, made to 16d, medium made 12d to ldd. Three-quarter to full wool sheepskins, fine, made to 15MA, medium 14(1 to 14% d, coarse 13d to 13% d. half, wool to Wd, short and shorn 12d to 13WA. Salted: Large 10s 6d to 11s 6d, medium 0s to 10s, small 5s to 7s.
