Tate took flvo wickets for 40 runs. In the second innings, Middlesex jnado 339, declared (Twining not out-121, Hondrcu 51, Bettington 95). Sussex in 'tho first innings mado 207. Bettingtou took four wickets for 87; Hearno, five for 40. In the second innings they made 215 (Bowley 94). Bettington took six wickets for 78. Middlesex -non by 112 runs. ' ■ • Worcestershire against Essex, in the first innings'mado 211 (Tarbox 55). In the goeond innings they mado 232. Niehols' took six for 04, Essex in tho ■ilrst innings made 436 for )iino wickets, declared (Gutmore 61, O'Connor 82, Eussell 135, Douglas 08). Tarbox took soven for 114. In the second they made 8 for no wickets. Essex won by ten wickets. Against Yorkshire, Lancashire ,the first innings made 385 (Hallows 58, . Taylor 60, Iddon 87, Green 52). Rhodes t took four for 56.
