The Cooks' Union has provided a cook for the Kooyong on the owners' terms, and Mr. Tudehope \has telegraphed to Brisbane directing the branch there to provide a cook for the steamer Time at all costs, pending a settlement of the dispute. Two vessels have sailed. This is regarded as the first step towards the union's capitulation.
