ANXIETY IN ROME
MUSSOLINI BUSY ARRANGING RELIEF MEASURES Australian Press Association. ROME, 28th May. Tho public continues most ■ anxious regarding tho Italia. Tho absence of radio messages is a most disturbing feature, though' tho breakdown of the engines may account for tho impossibility of communicating' the present position. Siguor Mussolini has repeatedly been in communication with Spitzbergen, and is arranging for measures of ■ relief. Weather reports from the Arctic, however, are depressing. Amundsen and Sverdrup were dining with Wilkins and Eielson when a representative of the Norwegian Government entered the banquting hall and asked .their aid. This was the first intimation that anxiety was felt. The four explorers immediately volunteered to givo what assistance was in their power. •
