WIRELESS SIGNALS . KECEIVED IN AMEEICA United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Australian fress Association. SAN FRANCISCO, 27th May. The Radio Corporation of America and several amateur stations on the Pacific Coast have received S.O.S. calls purporting to be from the Italia. The calls failed to give the position oi the ship, but said she was in distress and asked for immediate help. Calls in Italian and French were received clear ly in Sar. Francesco, but tho rnessagt was somewhat garbled. Radio men here declared that the Italia haa been in contact with St. Paul, Alaska, but weather conditions prevent communi cation between St. Paul and San Fran cisco. The Italia's purported men sage read: "CQ de as RAOC. Dirigible of Nobile in distress, asking, help She supplied with short-wave 30.33 metres radio. Dirigible Italia, AWEC, General Nobile." '
