Having routed the Shansi armies along the Pekin-Hankow railway and chased them into the hilly region west of the line, General Feng Tien has now decided to carry out an onslaught on General Feng Yuh Siang's troops, who are advancing between Tsangchow and Hochieit, consequently a major action is shortly expected with 200,000 men aside over a front of 200 miles. On Sunday, the Northerners on the Tientsin-Pukow railway commenced an aggressive movement. Severe fighting occurred, but the position is undecided. A Tientsin 'message states that in the French concession the' police unearthed a Communist secret society. They arrested five Chinese Communists and handed them over to the native authorities and they were summarily, executed. The documents seized were of an extreme nature, similar to last year's seizure at the Soviet .Embassy at Pekin, and "contained plans for the overthrow of the Northern authorities.
