NOISY MOTOR-BOATS
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHBISTCHUKCH, This Day. Owners of outboard motor-boats who use them on the Eedcliffs- estuary in the early mornings are to bo advißed to fit silencers to their engines. The Sumner Borough Council last night ■unanimously decided that the recently•formed Outboard Motor-boat Club was creating a nuisance. , A resident of Eedcliffs/ who wrote to. the council complaining, declared it was "not cricket" for the sport to be enjoyed at the expense of tho.pence of ,the residents. , , , : The'council decided to tell the club that, while it was sympathetic towards it, it was of tho opinion that something 9houia be done to minimise the noise.
