MOISEIWITSCH FINAL RECITAL.
Tho Wellington' season of Benuo Molselwitsch concludes to-night, when a programme that embraces tho moderns as well as the classics will bo submitted by tho famous pianist. Tho composers will include Bach, Chopin, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Falmgrcn, Ibert, Chaslns, Liszt, Schubert. The Funeral March of Chopin (the Sonata in B Flat Minor, Op. 35), with its massive movements, will be played as only Moiselwltsch can. Bach is represented by his C Major Prelude; Schumann by a Symphonic Study that is a model- for students; Rachmaninoff by his two tense Preludes; Liszt by La Ca'mpanella ; and SchubertLiszt by tho "Hark! Ha,rk! The Lark!" composition. Chaslns, a name unknown in these parts through Isolation from the world's -music centres, claims recognition through two delightful Oriental numbers, "Rush Hour in Hong Kong," in which the life of tho teeming metropolis is painted, and "Flirtation in a Chinese Garden," full of tho glamour and mystery of the Orient. These works aro being played for the first time In New Zealand, as is also a novel composition by Ibort, "Le Petit Ano Blanc," which means "Little White Donkey." The provincial tour that follows embraces New Plymouth, on 2nd June; Wanganul on sth June; Palmorston North on 7th June; Napier on Oth' June, and Hastings on 12th June.
