PERLE DE LEON AMISS
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.")' ( AUCKLAND, This Day. Perle de Leon, who has been a strong fancy for the Great Northern double, did not work at Ellerslie this morning. His off-front joint has filled, and it looks as if he might have to miss his engagements. Mr. W. J. Craig has not been particularly fortunate at Ellerslie, for two years ago when he had Gaze a red-hot favourite for the Great Northern Hurdle Eace, the gelding struck trouble on the track just prior to the meeting, and had to have a long spell.
