L.M.S. MISSIONARY EXHIBITION.
-♦- A large,number of people took the opportunity, of attending the missionary exhibition under the auspices of the loenl auxiliary of the London Missionary Society, at tho Cambridge Terrace Congregational Hall on Saturday afternoon, ami displayed keen interest in the exhibits The African court was of particular interest, owing to the display t>f many personal mementoes of David Livingstone. Miss Ngarie MiN's sketch of Indian Missionary work was well arranged and executed. The supervisors of the various'courts gave interesting five-minute talks:—Africa, Key. 11. Johnson; India, Mr. AY. Mill; China, Mr. Lennox; Polynesia, Mrs. Hutchin; Pnpiin, Mr. J. Hutuhin; Bible Society, Mrs. Porter. In the evening the Key. Harry Johnson delivered his lecture, "Ten Years in Central Africa," to a very large and appreciative audience. The lecture was full of interest, giving ample evidence of the efficiency of the Gospel in that dark Continent. Yesterday the exhibition hall was crowded with young people from the Congregational Society schools, who listened with great interest to a talk by Mr. Johnson. Tho exhibition will be open again this evening from 0 to 7.30, at which hour a "Celebration of the Life of James Chalmers (Tainate)" witl be given in the Cambridge Terrace Church. Those taking part will be the Key. Harry Johnson, director; the Key. 15.' K. Weeks, reader, Mr. Jiric North, reciter; and the combined .choirs of the churches. Admission is free both to the exhibition and the celebration.
